What Is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing practice that supports the body's natural ability to restore balance and well-being. Originating in Japan, the word Reiki combines two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning universal or spiritual wisdom, and "Ki," meaning life force energy.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner gently places their hands on or just above the body, allowing healing energy to flow where it is needed most. Many people experience a deep sense of relaxation, warmth, peace, or emotional release during a session. Reiki works with the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to encourage balance, reduce stress, and support emotional and physical healing.
Reiki is not a religion and does not require any particular beliefs. It is a complementary wellness practice that can be safely used alongside traditional medical care, counseling, and other healing modalities.
Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, or simply seeking greater peace and connection, Reiki offers a nurturing space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and restore your natural energy.
Benefits of Reiki May Include:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Deep relaxation
Emotional healing and release
Improved mental clarity and focus
Better sleep
A greater sense of balance and well-being
Support during times of change, grief, or recovery
Enhanced connection to your intuition and inner wisdom
Every Reiki experience is unique. Rather than "fixing" you, Reiki helps create the conditions for your own innate healing and resilience to emerge.
At Jupiter Reiki, each session is offered with compassion, presence, and the intention of creating a safe, supportive space where you can relax, heal, and reconnect with the truest version of yourself.
